Dasselbe geschah gegen die Römer, die ungefähr 290 Jahre brauchten, um Galicien zu erobern, und dasselbe geschah gegen die Mauren, dank der Galizier und ihres Schutzpatrons. Santiago rettete Spanien. Von dort nahmen die Königreiche Spaniens den Apostel Santiago als ihren Patron.
